Philosophy

Free diving, or breath-hold diving, is gaining in popularity around the world. Learn & teach about the physiological effects of free diving and techniques used for effective breath-hold dives. Confined water and two open water dives include skills to practice breathing techniques, effective diving and swimming underwater, and demonstration of rescue techniques for a free diver.

Priorities in the course:

  • free diving equipment, its importance and how to choose it,
  • physiology of freediving as a key to understanding how your body reacts and performs in the underwater environment while breath hold diving,
  • breathing, breathing techniques and breathing training,
  • correct inwater techniques for executing a breath hold dive,
  • effective finning techniques and streamlining for efficient swimming,
  • value of and how to effectively dive with a buddy,
