Philosophy

Ice Diver course is designed to be an introduction to ice diving and to help the student diver develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for ice diving.

Priorities in the course:

  • the planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of ice diving.
  • site selection, preparation and hole-cutting procedures.
  • special equipment, safety lines, signals, communications, line tending and line-securing techniques.
  • effects of cold, emergency procedures and safety-diver procedures.
We offer this Specialty Instructor Course in our locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
 
Prerequisites

Be a renewed PADI Assistant Instructor (or higher rating) or have completed an IDC/OWSI within the last 12 months.

Duration
